What to Expect at Your I Heart Chiro Visit
Here at I Heart Chiro, we want you to know exactly what to expect before your chiropractor arrives. Because we are a mobile chiropractic practice serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area, your visit takes place at your home, office, or gym, with the same thorough, hands-on care you would receive in a traditional clinic.
Before Your Appointment
Once your appointment is booked, we will confirm your time and location. We want to understand you, your pain, and your history completely, so you will be asked to complete new patient paperwork. You can save time by filling out your forms ahead of time from our New Patients page. Please clear a small space about the size of a massage table and wear comfortable clothing.
Your Health History
Your paperwork will ask about your family history, because some issues in the body can be hereditary (but that does not mean we cannot help). It will also ask about your health habits, medical history, and current symptoms. We want to cover all bases so we can help you as much as possible.
Your Examination
Your chiropractor will arrive with a professional adjusting table and equipment. Your examination will involve moving through different positions and possibly lying down so we can get a better feel for what is going on. This may include posture, range of motion, orthopedic, and neurological tests. Depending on your injury, imaging such as x-rays may be helpful, and if so, we will discuss a referral with you.
Talking Through Your Care
After your examination, you will have time to talk with our compassionate and knowledgeable chiropractor. Be sure to share everything about the pain you are experiencing and any other symptoms. Your chiropractor will then explain your condition and your options. Together, you will decide what you feel comfortable with and create a game plan, which may include chiropractic adjustments, muscle therapy, and corrective exercises.
After Your Visit
Some patients feel immediate relief, while others notice mild soreness for a day, similar to after a workout. Drink water, stay gently active, and follow any home exercises your chiropractor recommends. Learn more about your first visit or see how it works.
